Simple Summary

The Green Felt Club helps you track pool games. We store the information you provide so the app works as intended. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time—no app installation required.

What we collect

We collect only the data necessary to operate the app:

• A guest identifier for anonymous accounts (generated via Firebase Authentication).
• If you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and profile photo, as permitted by your Google account settings.
• Game data such as player names, scores, match history, and statistics (stored in Firebase/Firestore).
• Optional device permissions (such as location or camera) only if you enable features that require them.

Legal basis for processing

We process personal data based on one or more of the following:

• Your consent, when you choose to sign in or enable optional features.
• Performance of a contract, meaning providing the core app functionality you request.
• Legitimate interests, such as maintaining app security, preventing abuse, and improving performance.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Provide and maintain app functionality.
• Sync games and stats across devices.
• Enable social features such as playing with friends and viewing shared stats.
• Maintain account integrity, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.

If you use Google Sign-In, we store only the profile information you authorize. Firebase Authentication is used to manage account access.

Sharing, hosting & ads

We do not sell your personal data.

Your data is processed and stored using Google Firebase infrastructure for authentication, hosting, and databases. This may involve processing on servers located outside your country of residence.

If ads are enabled, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers or usage data to display ads, including personalized ads depending on your device and ad settings. Ad behavior is governed by Google’s own policies.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:

• Provide the Service.
• Maintain backups and operational logs.
• Comply with legal or security obligations.

Deleted accounts are removed from active systems within a reasonable timeframe. Some data may persist temporarily in backups before being permanently erased.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as HTTPS/TLS and Firebase security rules to protect your data. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
